Stitching & Library Move Update

Well, I was right - I didn't get any stitching done last night! All the library stuff got delivered eventually. I finished about 8.15pm (a 13 hour work day!) when the last box got dropped off. It was a long day but not too bad - the work came in bursts when the trucks arrived but in-between was a bit slow. Today, I've put together 12 bays of shelving in my office which will be used for the journal collection. Tomorrow, I'll start on the rest of the shelves but they will take me into next week to get together and then I can start putting the books on the shelf - that's the bit I'm really looking forward to [I know, that makes me a bit weird, but I'm OK with that]. There's a pile of all the shelves on the floor and it is like a giant puzzle trying to find the correctly labelled shelf for the section I'm in.

Maybe tonight I'll pick up my stitching and I'll have a photo to post next time I can get onto the internet. I still don't have a computer or phone at our new building yet so communicating with anyone is proving a bit difficult. Luckily, I've got a library to set up to keep me busy. Boy, can I feel a few muscles I didn't know I had - I've gone through a whole bottle of Radox Muscle Soothe bath gel this week and it has really helped.

Keep well, and keep stitching!

Happy Stitching,
Kerrie

  1. Our library just reopened last week. A sprinkler pipe burst and took out most of the children's section and caused lots of water damage to the wall and floor. It's been closed for several months with just the "annex" opened for a few hours each day for holds and stuff. Definitely kept the librarians busy.

  2. other then my rocking recliner, the library is my second favorite place to be. I get books at least twice a week. Hopefully I'll be able to get outdoors more this year.
