Elephant ABC #12

Yesterday, I got the K finished and almost all of the G as well.

Today the weather is very pleasant and we've already taken Clarence to the beach for his walk. We had a little scare while we were there - he is a 13 year old Golden Retriever, and has arthritis in his back hips/legs. He was in the shallow water when a small wave came in (vey small), but the strength of the water and the wetness of the sand meant that Clarence's back feet sunk into the sand and the force of the water from the wave made him collapse - he just didn't have the strength in his back legs to push out of the sand and to clear the wave. Poor baby. He is getting old, but it is terrible to see when he just doesn't have the strength to do something a few years ago wouldn't have been an issue at all. Once we got him out, he shook it off and continued on his walk as if nothing had happened, but we won't be taking him into the waves again (and by waves, I mean ankle deep - not head-high). Only the peaceful shallows from now onwards.

Now, we've got the cricket on the TV and I'm about to go across the road to a pop-up ice-cream shop - yummy.
Happy Stitching,
Kerrie
