Enchanted Ornament #32

I think I've finished off the heel leaves now so on to the final ornament.

Each Monday night for the last 3-4 weeks, I've been watching the TV-series 'Gallipoli'. It is very well done and seems to show the real trials of the campaign without using unnecessary shock tactics - the story itself is sad enough. I highly recommend it. Only problem with that is last night's episode ended on a particularly poor attack which resulted in wave after wave of young men going over the trench walls to their certain death as the timing of the English bombing campaign was off. The Turks were able to regroup and when the men went over, they had no chance.  Of course, I couldn't stop thinking about it when I went to bed, so I didn't fall asleep until quite late - this morning, I'm not too bright!
Happy Stitching,
Kerrie

  1. I remember watching the movie in high school (one of Mel Gibson's early roles) and being devastated by the ending. It is a very tragic story. Wasn't that the incident that led to the phrase "synchronize your watches"? or maybe I have too much trivia in my head. :) Your stocking is lovely though. Such a festive item is bound to cheer you up soon.
