Santa's Journey #21

Last night I did the rest of the french knots and the back-stitching on the sleigh. I hate working with the gold metallic thread so I've left the gold bow on the present till last. I might have a go at it tonight... maybe. All that's left besides that is the rope handle on the sleigh. Then I might do the outline of the stocking so I know where to stitch when I put it all together.
Actually you might notice one of the birds has a blank spot down its back and that's because I've run out of thread, or I think what actually has happened is that it has come out of the thread divider and was thrown out by accident - it is a colour that only has one thread supplied and there's no way I could have used it all in what I've already stitched. I'm going to write to the company and try to get another strand of it to use. Hopefully it will arrive before I finish the rest of the stocking.
Happy Stitching,
Kerrie

  1. Hi Kerrie, I have been watching your progress. French knots can be a chore at times to keep them all looking round and even. I am anxious to see it when you get it done. Take care. hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.
