Last night was SO great to have my own pillow in my own bed! We had an absolutely amazing time, but it is nice to be home.
My favourite part of the holiday was the cruise. I really enjoyed it. I also loved seeing the beautiful houses in Canada - they are so beautiful and, although similar in style, they were painted different colours and all had great gardens, they were very pretty. The Autumn/Fall leaves starting to change colour were beautiful as well We had some fun with trying to be understood in Quebec as French is the first language there. We saw some amazing sites in all of the locations we visited. And we ate some delicious food - so much food.
At least we're not the only ones to have put on some holiday weight - we picked up Clarence (our almost 14yr old Golden Retriever) from my sister's place this morning and he has a few extra kilos too. Looks like he was spoilt rotten, and he would have loved every minute of it. We are all now back home relaxing and trying to get motivated for returning to work next week.
Thankfully, I seem to have avoided any jet lag. Not so lucky for my husband - he is wrecked. Hopefully he can get over it before he returns to work on Tuesday.
I've got hundreds of photos to go through and try to remember where they were or what the significance of them was - that should be interesting. I'm hoping to put together some sort of book with the best of the photos and other souvenirs but that might take a while.
I'm not sure which cross stitch project I'll start now, but it will be one of the 3 kits I bought in Quebec to keep the holiday memories alive.
Also, the Busy Crafting weekend is on from next Friday so I have to pack my suitcase again for a weekend with the girls in Marysville crafting away. I'm looking forward to that for sure!
So, today and tomorrow is pretty much taken up with watching the V8 SuperCars race from Bathurst (1000kms on Sunday) all day.
Have a great weekend, and I hope you enjoyed my holiday updates during my holiday. I'll be back to posting cross stitch stuff from Monday.
Happy Stitching,
Kerrie
