At work, it is time for our annual library stocktake - my FAVOURITE thing of all my jobs to do! Seriously, people look at me funny when I tell them that, but I really do love scanning everything, finding out what's missing, finding stuff in the wrong place, and tidying the shelves to make them look neat. Only downside is that it only lasts until someone visits the library and touches something - which usually isn't very long after I'm done.

I totally agree with you on the stockcheck! As much as I love doing the day-to-day library stuff in my local infant school, I can't wait for year-end (July) so that all the books can be counted, checked and neatly shelved ready for the new school year in September. I get funny looks too!!! :)
