Good progress made over the weekend, but I won't be finishing this one before our trip - one more sleep! We are both so excited and just can't wait. I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight.
So that means from tomorrow onwards, this cross-stitch blog will turn into more of a holiday blog for a month as I record what we get up to. Last time I didn't post any pictures but I think I've worked that out this time so hopefully there will be some good ones to tease you with! I hope you'll keep reading and enjoy our holiday with me as I share what we get up to...
Happy Stitching,

Don't Look Back #9
I don't think I'm going to get this finished before we go on our trip, but I'm not stressing about it. It wouldn't be going to the framers before we go even if I did.
Although, every time I say something like that, I end up finishing it before I think I will... so who knows. There's no rush.
Only 4 more sleeps until our big trip...so pleased to be having our friends staying in our house while we are away - they are coming in from Adelaide on the weekend and having their own holiday.
Happy Stitching,

Don't Look Back #8
I didn't get too much done last night as I was very tired and had a bit of a headache. I kept loosing concentration so I thought it better to put it away rather than make mistakes...

Just over a quarter to go now...
We're starting to eat up all the left overs we've got in the fridge and pantry so we don't have to throw too much away before our trip - dinners this week will be 'interesting'.

Lots of progress since my last update. It was a great weekend for stitching! Whilst at Aireys Inlet, we went for a lovely walk along the beach, made baked donuts (which were amazing) and gave Clarence (our dog) a bath as he was getting stinky. It was a great weekend.
Now just one more week before our big holiday to Canada, Alaska, San Francisco & Los Angeles. I've got my suitcase down and will start putting everything on the spare bed into it this week. I am getting excited!!

Got some good work done on the top border last night. The flowers are quite delicate and really pretty.
Yesterday, I had a full day of training as I am one of the First Aid Officers at work. It was a good day, but taxing on my brain!

I'm very pleased with my progress over the weekend with this design. It is coming together fairly quickly - might I hope that I could get it done before our trip...? 14 days to go...
I've decided I'm not going to take any stitching with me on our trip. Last holiday I took one, and it never saw the light of day. Plus, this time I'm planning on visiting 4 different cross-stitch shops, including one on our fist day in Victoria, Canada, so I'm really hoping to stock up on some newbies while I'm away.

Very happy with my progress over the weekend. We had a very enjoyable time down at Aireys Inlet - beautiful weather on Saturday, then storms, winds and heavy rain on Saturday night, resulting in a wet and sloppy Sunday. No complaints though - that's perfect stitching weather!

I can't wait to get all of this set framed and on the wall in my theological library - they will be perfect for a blank space on the wall.
We're off to Aireys Inlet again this weekend so I hope to make some good progress on this design while we're there.
Hope everyone has a great weekend...
