Stitching ABC #41 and FINALLY...!

Last night I did the back-stitching on the O block and finished it off.

And I FINALLY got permission to hang my Heartfelt pictures that I purchased and stitched specifically for my library. Originally, I had proposed to hang them above the computers and the study desks across 3 separate areas, but I only got permission to hang them in a cluster, and I actually think that is much better! They are on the ground floor and EVERYONE will see them every time they walk into the library so they are much more on display than I had originally planned. YAY! Besides the ugly fire hydrant next to them, I think they look great and I am very pleased with them. It's only taken about a year to finally get them into place... but I think it was worth the wait!

And YAY, it's Friday. I'm going to the movies tonight with my friend to see 'Self/less'. I'm not sure what it is about but it looks like a bit of a suspense movie so it should be OK. I'd like to go and see Mission Impossible after it is released next week too.
For the weekend, I think my sister and her family are coming over for dinner and to watch the footy on Foxtel on Saturday night, and on Sunday, we have the footy ourselves - hopefully it will remain dry!

Footprints #12 & Heartfelts framed

Here are the final 3 Heartfelt designs all framed up. I'm very pleased with the overall results and am sure they will look great together on the wall. When I get them set up, I'll post a photo of them.

And below is the progress shot for Footprints...

Have Hope - Finished & Have Faith - Started

Over the last week I have managed to get 'Have Hope' finished. I am really pleased with the end result...
Now I've started on the next one in the series, 'Have Faith'. I've done the bird and have the border flowers and wording to go...

The library move is progressing well. All the packing got done last week, and the truck is coming tomorrow to concentrate on the library - furniture, shelving and just under 1,000 boxes of books! I think tomorrow will be a long day and I doubt I'll get any stitching done... I'm starting work at 7.30am and will be there until the last truck load is delivered to the new location - who knows when that might be! Good news is we have a second truck and 3 extra guys to get it done so I have some hope it will be completed tomorrow. Then the fun begins putting all the shelving back together and getting the books back on the shelves - in order.

Have Hope #9

I've got 5 minutes before I start making up boxes to pack, so here is my progress from over the weekend... Smurfy has asked to see the back of the design, but I think I'll keep that until it is finished! I try to keep my backs as neat as my fronts.

Have Hope #8

This might be the last post for a little while as next week I'm in full moving mode packing up my library for our big move... If I make any significant progress, I'll be sure to post an update.
I'm quite pleased with my progress - I'm over half way now. I'm quite taken with the leaves - the 3-colour effect is quite striking and so easy to do.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Have Hope #7

Happy with my progress last night. Got my first library moving injury yesterday, a paper cut across 2 fingers! Of course, everything I touch hits it and it's painful - hopefully that's the worst of my injuries... Have a great day!

Have Hope #6

Now my owl is standing on something which is nice.

Packing has started in my library that I'm moving so I'm getting more tired earlier in the evenings. I think progress will slow over the next few nights...

Have Hope #4 & Movie Review

I'm quite happy with my progress on this design over the weekend. I think I'm trying to get in as much as I can now as I know I'm going to be too tired next week once I start packing for the big library move. I'm having 900 boxes delivered tomorrow - and then the fun begins!

On Friday night, I went with a girlfriend to see The Other Woman - it was very funny and just what I needed after another week of stress related to this big library move. I highly recommend it for a great girl's night out.

Have Hope #3

I was quite tired last night so I didn't do too much stitching. Only a few rows in the wings...

I have a feeling that I won't be getting through this as quickly as the 'Prayer Changes Things' design due to the fact that I'll be moving my 45,000 item theological library and all its shelving etc over the next 2-3 weeks. I think I'm in for a few long hot soaks in the bath when I get home and plenty of early nights!

Have Hope #2

It's starting to look a little more like an owl now... yesterday's effort reminded me of Gonzo from the Muppets!

Have Hope #1

The new design I have started is another of the Heartfelt Series called Have Hope. I started this on Sunday night 4-5-14 so it looks like I've done a lot...

Also, on the weekend, I did some of the bottom row on the Dinosaur ABC. I should get this finished by the end of the month as we'll be going back to the beach house another 2 times before the month is through...
