Candy Cane Santa Stocking #19 & some hanging

Only doing half cross stitches really allows you to get a lot done in a short amount of time. Most of this third window frame is half cross stitches representing the tree leaves.

And I finally remembered to bring my hammer to work today. I've hung the 4 framed sayings in my theological library and I think they look great. No one has mentioned the other designs I have hanging in the library, so I doubt these will get noticed either (which is a good thing since I hung them without specific permission). Hopefully, they provide just a little bit of inspiration to the students...

Dreaming - Finished, and Life is Short #1

Finished off dreaming and quite pleased with it. Gotta love those simple and quick designs every now and then! So then I started Life is Too Short and I'm almost half way through - after just one day! I'm surprised myself.

 

I collected the framed stitching on Friday and hoped to hang them today but I only have 3 hooks so I need to go to the shops to get another one. I am very pleased with how they have turned out and will get a picture to share when they are on the wall.

In real life, it's quite hard to see the back-stitching around the word 'dreaming' but here in the photo you can pick it up much better.

OK, so you didn't really expected that I wouldn't start one of the newly delivered kits, did you? Of course, I couldn't help myself and I just had to start on one of the new kits. They are all very simple and a small size so they shouldn't take too long to get through. I hope to have them framed and hung in my theological library as the sayings are all motivational and encouraging.

This is the darkest Aida I've worked on but it wasn't too bad. Occasionally I had to hold it up with the TV in the background to find the holes.
