Walk This Way #2 & Happy Birthday Clarence!

Piglet is now done - yay! Due to the reasonably large blocks of colour, I can see this getting finished in not too much time. And it's fun too.

I made it back to the craft store yesterday for the dark grey for the Sing to the Lord so I'll get to that eventually. Not impressed with Spotlight stores - I had to go to 3 different stores to get the colours I needed, and even then they didn't have them all in DMC so I compromised and got some equivalent colours in another brand. Not happy...

We had a good day off yesterday for the Melbourne Cup. Mowed the lawns, walked the dog, went to various Spotlight stores, went for a drive round the country side and were home by lunchtime. It was great as it felt much later than it was so we snoozed on the couch and then watched the race, not really caring which horse won. Unfortunately, the race favourite suffered some sort of heart attack and died right after the race so that was a bit sad and another horse is badly injured after getting spooked by the crowd. I feel sorry for the horses...

Clarence has his monthly vet appointment tonight for his arthritis injection. Yesterday was his 13th birthday - Happy Birthday Clarence! He got a special chew treat to celebrate.

European Bistro #32

Hooray - my additional threads finally arrived so I can finish off the European Bistro! I managed to get a little done last night but I think I'll need 1-2 more nights to get everything finished completely. Very excited about finally having it almost done...

Additional threads came neatly on these little cards.

You can see I've still got the bike and a little bit above one of the chairs to do, plus a bit of back-stitching. Shouldn't take me too long to finish off though...
