Woo hoo - it's finished! I plan to frame each of the four designs in this series in matching frames and display them in the theological library where I work. The only change I made in this design is the car numberplate - it's supposed to say 'camp' but I changed it to 'HBC" which are the initials of the Bible College where I work.
And I'm very excited for my friend Judith who became a first-time Grandparent on Tuesday - congratulations! That will be the second stocking I have to stitch next year. The first one for a work colleague has already arrived and I'm itching to get started on it... but it might have to wait for the weekend as I'm going to the movies tonight to see 'The Dressmaker' which I've heard is good.
For Christmas each year, I like to make something a little quirky for the kids. This year, I found something very easy, but quite cute - gingereindeer. So easy as they are just upside down gingerbread men shapes decorated with a red M&M, mini marshmallows and decorating icing - the arms and legs are supposed to be horns. I think they turned out pretty cute, but my husband just reckons they look like I did the face the wrong way up. Maybe if the body was a little shorter it might look better, but a colleague at work recognised them as gingereindeer immediately, so I'll probably make some more for the Christmas table this year.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Wander #15
Last night, I started on filling in the bottom left corner and made reasonable progress...
I think I'll have this done in a couple more days - then I can start on a Christmas Stocking which I'm looking forward to getting into.

Wander #14 & Giveaway #5
I didn't have a good day yesterday. I was trying to do too much at work and stuffed up just about everything in some way or another. And then it continued when I got home - I stitched the border all the way around and then realised that the trees cut into it a bit so I had to unpick a fair amount. What a waste of time... oh well, everyone has those days. Hopefully I won't have another for a very long time.
Giveaway #5

Wander #13, Robot ABC #14 & Giveaway #4 Winner
Over the weekend, we were at Aireys Inlet where I did a little stitching on the Robot ABC. I've run out of some threads though so I couldn't finish off how I usually like to. Must make a note to get to the craft store to get some more before we go back... I did get most of the N done.
Give Away #4
Now, the time passed and no-one had entered the draw, so I've allowed the 2 entries that did make it in the next day to participate. And I asked one of my work colleagues to pick left or right, and in the hand they picked was Emma/Itzy - congratulations!
Please send your postal address to xstitchlibrarian[at]gmail.com and I'll get your prize out to you asap. I'll pick something for Giveaway #5 tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it's not just plain black that is used for the back-stitching, but a dark brown so I'll have to go and get the right colour.
Then when we got home, I settled in for an afternoon of stitching whilst watching the first ever day-night cricket test between Australia and New Zealand. It was a very exciting match, but eventually Australia won - yay. I'm surprised I managed to get the whole car filled in, but that's what happens when you sit and stitch for 7+ hours! Gosh, I can't believe I was stitching for that long, but I was... and it was good!Give Away #4

Wander #12
I forgot my camera on my desk again so I had to use my phone to take a picture of last night's progress. I'm quite excited about the outline of the car - it looks great. Can't wait to start filling it in.
We're off to Aireys Inlet tonight for the weekend so Wander will have to wait. I'll get some more work done on the Robot ABC which I haven't touched for ages.
Don't forget my pattern giveaway here. I'm surprised no one has actually entered the giveaway for this pattern yet. It was a joy to stitch and the bright colours would be great for any child's bedroom.
Have a great weekend everyone...

Wander #10
A bit more border and some more trees meas the bottom right corner is almost done.
I'm excited because I'm going to have 2 Christmas stockings to stitch next year. One for a work colleague, and another for my crafty friend's first grandchild. I've got one already to start when I finish this Wander design, and I'll find out what the other one will be later this week. So excited - the Dimensions Gold Christmas stockings are fairly involved, but they are SO worth it and look completely amazing when they're done.

Over the weekend, I made a little progress - finished off the backstitching on the top half of the border, finished the wording on LOST and started on the trees for the picture below. Not much, but we had a busy weekend in the garden and I was too tired to concentrate.

Wander #7
Didn't get much stitching time last night as we had dinner at my parent's place.
It's been warming up here in Melbourne the last few days so poor Clarence is pretty worn out. I did manage to get this cute smile from him last night inbetween naps...
Don't forget to check out my Give Away here.

Wander #5 & Give Away #3
Did a bit more of the border last night. I'm definitely going to run out of black which is used for all the outlines. Lucky I bought several spare skeins last time I went shopping!
