Wander #17 - Finished! & Christmas Baking

Woo hoo - it's finished! I plan to frame each of the four designs in this series in matching frames and display them in the theological library where I work. The only change I made in this design is the car numberplate - it's supposed to say 'camp' but I changed it to 'HBC" which are the initials of the Bible College where I work.
And I'm very excited for my friend Judith who became a first-time Grandparent on Tuesday - congratulations! That will be the second stocking I have to stitch next year. The first one for a work colleague has already arrived and I'm itching to get started on it... but it might have to wait for the weekend as I'm going to the movies tonight to see 'The Dressmaker' which I've heard is good.

For Christmas each year, I like to make something a little quirky for the kids. This year, I found something very easy, but quite cute - gingereindeer. So easy as they are just upside down gingerbread men shapes decorated with a red M&M, mini marshmallows and decorating icing - the arms and legs are supposed to be horns. I think they turned out pretty cute, but my husband just reckons they look like I did the face the wrong way up. Maybe if the body was a little shorter it might look better, but  a colleague at work recognised them as gingereindeer immediately, so I'll probably make some more for the Christmas table this year.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Don't forget my next pattern giveaway here.
Happy Stitching,
Kerrie

  7. Hi Kerrie, Found your blog thru Faith's blog. I have been following your progress on this piece ,however I have been shy to comment on your posts.Congrats on a beautiful finish.
You have been giving away some beautiful designs. Great gesture .However I don't participate in giveaways as usually the cost of shipping to the land where i live is more than the piece itself haha.

Don't let that stop you entering. I'm not asking for postage costs as I am happy to bless someone with a pattern I no longer need. If you like something in the future, feel free to enter!
      Thanks,
