Candy Cane Santa Stocking #18

I packed up the Santa stocking to take to the beach house with me, but I forgot the pattern sheet so I didn't get any stitching done on it while we were away. Luckily, I had my backup stitching there - Christmas ornaments so I got one of those finished.
Saturday was very stressful for both of us as our team was in the AFL Grand Final for the first time in 55 years. We barely breathed during the 2 hours, but eventually the Westerrn Bulldogs won, and it was wonderful. Go Doggies! I didn't dare stitch while the match was on!

When we got home on Sunday, I did a little work on the stocking, starting on the next window pane.

Last Thursday at lunchtime, I went to the plastic bag supplier and picked up some resealable bags which are perfect for presenting my stitched stockings in. I did have to buy 100 of them, so it looks like I've got a lot more stockings to do in the future! I stuck a pretty bow on the bags and I am really pleased with the result. Bonus thing is that the bags can also be used for storage between Christmases as they will keep out the dust. Again, thanks to Margie for the perfect idea.

Happy Stitching,
Kerrie

  1. What a good idea using the plastic bags for the stockings. I always pack my stitched ornaments away inside, while the rest of our holiday decor goes out into the shed.
